About Terri and Seven Wonders Solos

I love to travel. I love experiencing the places I’ve read about in books or seen in movies. I love meeting people and learning about their view of the world. I love trying new foods (most of the time, anyway!), seeing new sights, and enjoying new experiences.

Over the years I’ve traveled by myself, with extended family, with immediate family, with friends and lovers (one and the same, when I was lucky!). I’ve traveled on business, for pleasure, and been a road warrior.

I love traveling solo. No discussions about when or where to eat, no compromising on what to see today or how long to stay, luxuriating in going to bed and getting up on my own schedule.

But, after a while dinner by myself gets lonely, instead of adventurous. And, it is more fun sharing pictures and relating experiences with someone who was actually there with me. Someone who held her breath watching a wild penguin chick untie my shoelaces, or helped pull me out of the river after I fell off our raft, or actually saw the stained glass in Sainte-Chapelle. And, traveling solo is expensive.

So, I decided to create travel packages for single or solo travelers. Serious packages – not party cruises or weekend flings to see how many people get hooked up. And with flexibility, so people are comfortable with the group or on their own. And Seven Wonders Solos was born as an extension of the already existing Seven Wonders Club.

My blog will focus on travel (duh!) – primarily for solo travelers. But, I think most topics will interest any traveler. I hope you enjoy it. Let me know what you’d like to talk about. I look forward to getting to know you, either here or on a Seven Wonders Solos expedition.
